Update For Christmas

21st December 2020

Throughout the whole of 2020, we have been blown away by the generosity of the people of St Helens. The donations we have received have ensured that the St. Helens foodbanks can ensure that families in need don’t go hungry. Our front door has never seen an empty moment in 10 months and the donations keep pilling up!

This Christmas the generosity has continued, with an unbelievable amount of donations received from Schools, stores, individuals and organizations across St. Helens. We are bursting at the seams and overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness. The food and monies donated goes an enormous way to ensuring St Helens Foodbanks can continue to support those in need.

This year we have also been fortunate enough to open a new foodbank hub with the support of Newton Community Centre and found our new volunteers with the help of Halton & St Helens VCA.

St. Helens Foodbank would also like to thank the dedication of our volunteers during this difficult year. They are at the heart of the work we do and the time they give to help others in need is invaluable. From our delivery drivers to our receptionists, the bag packers and the stock markers, Thank you all so much for your hard work!

We understand that Christmas can be a difficult time of year for many families, especially with this years added challenges, so you will still be able to access help over this festive period.
