Foodbank Updates

18th February 2021

As the Country has been in its third national lockdown of this Covid 19 pandemic, our foodbanks have remained open due to the dedication of our amazing team of Volunteers. So far in 2021, our 5 hubs have fulfilled a total of 322 vouchers helping 742 people in need.

Thanks to funding we have received we have been able to buy fresh fruit and veg to give to everyone coming to the foodbank, and support a local business. These fresh boxes have been delivered for us each week from Your Choice in St Helens.

The funding we have been given also allows us to purchase bread and butter for those coming to the foodbank, providing them with more variety to the nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food in every Trussell Trust food parcel.

Over the past 2 months, we have had 9 tonnes of food donated to help support our foodbanks, that’s about the weight of five-and-a-half Cars! Thank you to everyone who has donated to us, our shopping list is updated weekly with foods we are running low of. These can be dropped of at The Hope Centre weekdays, except Thursdays and weekends, between 10am and 3pm.

Thank you for all your support!
